Addressing Gender-Based Violence and Building Inclusive Systems
About Bundle
Four modules building core competency in gender-responsive work for WROs and CBOs:
- Understanding Gender-Based Violence, Concepts, Causes and Response
- Feminist Principles and Care in the Workplace
- Mainstreaming Gender in MEAL, Communications, and Reporting
- Gender Analysis, Gender Equality Markers and Gender-Responsive Programming Tools
Together, they move from understanding the issue itself to how the organization operates internally to how gender gets embedded in day-to-day systems and reporting to the concrete analytical tools used to design and assess programming through a gender lens.
Target audience
WRO and CBO staff across roles, MEL coordinators, programme officers, project coordinators, community outreach staff, and any staff member involved in program design, reporting, or M&E work.
How to get the best out of it
Go through in order; each module assumes the working vocabulary and framing built in the one before it.
Sessions II and VI in Module 1 and the reflective sections in Module 2 deserve extra time; don’t rush through them to reach a quiz, since the quizzes across all four are formative and meant to reinforce judgment, not gate completion.
Module 2 in particular won’t resolve into a clean checklist; sit with its open prompts honestly rather than skimming for the “right answer.”
Module 4’s tools are meant to be applied, not just read; expect to actually practice using the gender analysis and markers frameworks rather than only reviewing them.
